Education
I have studied elementary, high school and college in French. I was always in enriched English programs, for I was always very advanced in that specific subject. I was also a tutor in college, for French. My main task was to tutor students who had failed exams and projects because of their misspellings and grammar errors. By correcting all of those with them, I would get them to recuperate half of the points they had lost because of that portion of the exam/project. Whilst doing that, I was a fashion design student. I stayed in college for 1 year (2 semesters) until I decided to work instead, to help my family.
Experience
I am currently an au-pair, in Lleida. I have two kids at my charge, for tutoring in both English and French (mostly English). I am from eastern Canada, where it is very cold an snowy. The region (province, to be exact) I am from is Quebec. In Quebec, there are two official languages spoken : French and English. That explains why my schooling was done in French. I excelled in both, for they were two of my favourite subjects. I have a lot of experience with kids, being an aunt of 4. I am therefore more than qualified to take care of younger children. As for my qualifications, I can say that teaching has been a part of most jobs I have occupied. I have been in managing positions a few times, which required me to train employees. That means that I am very familiar with the concept of teaching notions I know of. As a tutor, I love creating an interactive and fun way to learn English and/or French. I try to make it as interesting as possible, in order to keep the kids' focus activated at all times. I love tutoring, partly because of the fact that it brings me back to school, indirectly. I always loved learning new things, and now that I have learnt so much, I like to give back as well. I genuinely find it is very rewarding to see a child or teen evolve thanks to the work and efforts we have collectively put in.

***P.S.: my rates are not exactly as mentioned. They are 14 euros per hour, if you only need 1 hour. They go down to 12 euros per hour if you need 2 hours. They can go down to 11 euros per hour if you need 3 or more hours. The rates will change if there is more than one person at a time. Up for negotiation.*** I came to Spain because I utterly hate the cold (about -20 degrees during winter) and the snow (about 30-50cm per snowstorm). I needed a change of pace, and I craved to travel more. There are so many things I love to do, a few of them might even help in my tutoring. Firstly, I am also a singer... not just in the shower! I could have you or your children learn songs in the language of your choosing (between French and English). I can also sing in Italian, but I doubt you will be needing that! Oh, that reminds me! I speak Italian too, because I am actually half Italian (citizenship included). I also draw very well, which means I could make it more fun, including visual support to the teaching process. I love cooking, and I am very bad at baking. I eat very spicy and I have no order to when I eat what. Which means I can eat pizza for breakfast and cereal for dinner! I love to make everything fun and funny. I think that everything in life can use a joke or 10. When we have fun whilst doing something, we end up enjoying it, even if it's a task or chore that we usually don't like doing. So yes, that would be me, in a nutshell.
